Abstract:
1. An overview of recent progress on plasmonic and nanophotonic enhanced solar cell devices will be presented. Focus will be on interface and surface dispersion engineering, and ultra-thin film interference mechanisms;
2. This presentation will introduce the audience to Science Advances and its present status, the variety of manuscripts published in this journal and the most important criteria the Editorial Board tries to look for and focus on when receiving new submissions. A comparison between this journal and a more specialized, narrow scope, online journal will be given at the end of the talk.
